Where can I have breakfast?

You can have breakfast in our vintage style cafe (on request, 6eur). In case you need breakfast earlier than 8:00, we can offer you a package with sandwich, local sweet, juice, coffee, tea and fruit. :)

Is it possible to pay by credit or debit card or just by cash?

You can pay by cash or by card on arrival. You also can pay by transfer (before arrival, we send an invoice).
Your stay contributes to the restoration of the house, thanks!

Is parking possible on site?

Parking in the garden is 5 EUR(there are only 2 places there at the moment).
There is free parking outside on the street (just before Marta Guesthouse).

Any suggestions where to go to eat in Tallinn?

There are so many possibilities, where to eat in Tallinn. You can also eat a small meal in our own Marta Guesthouse Cafe. Look our menu.

Do you have special wishes? Or want just to have a quick, good, cheaper meal in the evening..
There is one good map "City map made by locals" (many good tips!), which is available on information centre. Something similar in web: http://www.likealocalguide.com/tallinn (Info about restaurants, budget food, cafes etc). Maybe you find "The Your Thing" :)

Could you tell us, how to get to Marta Guesthouse from Tallinn bus station?

From the bus station there are 8 tramstops to us: take tram nr 4 direction "Tondi" (tram stop is on "Tartu maantee" = "Tartu road") You have to go off in the 8-th stop "Tallinn-Väike". The tram stops before a petrol station "Favora" (where is also the closest 24h grocery store!). Go off the tram, walk ca 50m the same direction as tram and the first street on the right is Marta!
Second light yellow wooden house on the right is Marta Guesthouse (Marta str 8)!

From the Old Town in the centre ("Freedom square"), there are only 3 tramstops to us (tram 3, 4; bus 5, 18, 36, 52)!
We can offer you transfer as well: from the airport, port, train station or bus station (9 EUR).

If we want to go to downtown Tallin, can we walk? How long would it take?

Our Guesthouse is 2.5km from the Old Town. Of course you can walk (ca 25min), but I would suggest you to take the tram (3) or bus (5, 52, 18, 36).

If you plan walk also in the Old Town, then maybe better to be quickly there via public transport, 7min!

About public transport:

VERY suggested to buy a "24h" or "3-days" or "5-days" ticket (you can get this in all "R-Kiosk"´s (one is at "Freedom Square" for example, one at "Viru Centre", but also elsewhere in the city) or post-offices. With this card it is really cheap to use ALL KINDS of public transport: bus, tram, trolley.

Single ticket (buy from the driver!) is 1.60 EUR (students 0.80 EUR). For one ride only.
Ticket prices:

"24h" ticket= 3 EUR

"3days ticket"= 5 EUR

"5days ticket"= 6 EUR

In Tallinn you can very easily use all kinds of transport to get around more easily: to Rocca al Mare (Open Air Museum), Pirita (Beach, Old Monastery, River etc), Viimsi (Open Air Museum, very nice SPA).

Last tram from the centre to Marta Guesthouse (stop „Tallinn-Väike“): From „Viru“ (tram nr.4): 00:15. From „Freedom Square“ („Vabaduse väljak“): 00:17.

How far away is the outdoor museum? Can we get there via public transport? How long would it take?

To Open Air Museum in Rocca al Mare: with trolleybus nr 6 (stops also at "Freedom Square"!) ca 15-20minutes. Then walking time ca 15min (1.5km from the trolleystop). Link: Open Air museum (opening, transport etc): http://www.evm.ee/id/2/

Getting to/from the ferry port – how long would that take by public transport (the cost)?
From the port you drive ca 5 tramstops to us or with bus (from "Viru Centre", instructions below).
Driving time from the centre to Marta Guesthouse: ca 10min.
